Our Organist and Choir Minister

Luis is a native of Chili' and serves as St Matthews Organ Master and Choir Director.  He is pursuing advanced studies in music at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

If you sing in the shower and can carry a tune, your voice is needed! 

Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, other instruments? you are invited to help with music on Sundays.  This summer would be a great time to get started.

Adios, Luis, via con Dios

We knew this day would come and at last, it is here.  The time has come for us to say goodbye to Luis Gonzalez Catalan, who has served St. Matthews so faithfully as our organist for the past five years.  Luis has returned to Chile were he will build and repair organs in Chilean churches and teach.  We have been blessed with his tremedous talent and quiet sense of humor and wish him all God's blessings in his new work.  Luis wil be back in Lubbock for graduation at the end of September and has agreed to play a recital for us.  This will be an excellent time to bid Luis a formal farewll, when all of St. Matthew can be present.

As soon as we have a new address and email for Luis, it will be published in the Evangelist.
